How to Save Money in College

Coming from the first-generation Latina herself, who has been there done that. Here are a few tips that helped me save money, while trying to earn that degree! 🤗 💕

1. Food Bank 🥑 🥖

Throughout all my years in school, I always made sure to stock up on essentials from my University's food bank. Not only do they have food, but you can stalk up on shampoo, toiletries and more.

2. Student ID 💳 🌟

Definitely carry it around with you, always. You never know when you can use it to get discount(s). I used it to take the bus for free & get discounts from local restaurants.

3. Apply to Scholarships 💸 🔥

Set time aside to apply to scholarships, grants, etc. You can treat applying to scholarships like a 2 unit class. That way you can have a manageable workload when it comes to studying, working, and applying to funding.
